Brain Dump Buddy

Everything in your head → one clear next step

Dump everything swirling in your head — typed, rapid-fire, or voice — and AI sorts the chaos into action items, decisions, worries, and things you can drop. Most overwhelm turns out to be 8 real tasks hiding under a lot of noise.

Overview

Your head is full. Work tasks blurring into personal worries blurring into vague anxiety. This tool takes the whole mess — no structure required — and sorts it into clear buckets. The key insight: most people in overwhelm have far fewer actual tasks than they think. Then it goes further: Shrink the List negotiates your tasks shorter. Map to My Day turns the list into a schedule. Worry Excavator digs into anxieties to find hidden actionable tasks. Reclassify lets you fix anything the AI miscategorized. Emergency mode strips everything to just 3 things when you can barely function.

How to use it

  1. Choose context (optional) — work overwhelm, anxiety spiral, 3am thoughts, etc.
  2. Pick input mode: type, rapid-fire, or voice (just talk into your phone)
  3. Dump everything. Don't organize. Stream of consciousness.
  4. If barely functioning, toggle Emergency Mode for just 3 things.
  5. AI sorts into 9 categories with overwhelm meter. Check off your Do First.
  6. Use Power Tools: Shrink the List (challenge every item), Map to My Day (build a schedule), Compare to Last Dump (see what resolved)
  7. Dig deeper on any worry with the 🔍 button — AI finds hidden tasks.
  8. Disagree with a category? Reclassify any item with the arrow buttons.
  9. Re-dump carries unchecked items forward. Pattern analysis after 3+ dumps.

Example

Scenario: Sunday night brain spiral: dentist, work email, mom's birthday, overwhelmed, job offer decision, messy kitchen, groceries, electric bill, Sarah's text, no exercise...

What you do: Context: Life chaos. Free dump all of it.

Result: Overwhelm meter: 22 thoughts → 6 real tasks. Shrink the List: 'Does the whole kitchen need cleaning? Wipe the counters — 3 minutes, 80% of the stress gone.' Map to My Day: 20-minute evening schedule with breaks. Worry Excavator on 'worried about job offer': hidden task found — 'Write a pro/con list for 10 minutes.' Dump Diff shows 3 items from last week resolved without noticing.
