Mise en Place

Turn whatever's in your kitchen into a meal — with a battle plan

List your ingredients or snap a photo of your fridge. AI builds a minute-by-minute cooking battle plan with parallel task sequencing, critical timing alerts, technique tips calibrated to your skill level, a quick shopping list, and a leftovers transformation strategy for tomorrow.

Overview

Mise en Place is a meal prep strategist, not a recipe finder. It solves the hard part of cooking at home: taking random ingredients and building an optimally sequenced plan that tells you what to do, when, and what to prep during downtime. Like having a sous chef in your ear.

How to use it

  1. List what's in your fridge/pantry, or upload a photo
  2. Set your time available, skill level, and dietary needs
  3. Choose your meal type and available equipment
  4. Get meal recommendations ranked by how well they use your ingredients
  5. Follow the minute-by-minute battle plan with parallel tasks and timing alerts

Example

Scenario: You have chicken thighs, rice, bell peppers, garlic, soy sauce, and some wilting spinach. You want dinner in 45 minutes and you're an intermediate cook.

What you do: List ingredients, set 45 minutes, intermediate skill, dinner, stovetop + oven.

Result: Mise en Place recommends teriyaki chicken bowls, provides a timeline starting with rice (longest cook time), then searing chicken during the first 10 minutes while prepping vegetables as a parallel task. Checkpoints tell you when rice should be absorbing, when to flip chicken. Leftovers strategy: tomorrow's fried rice.
