Sensory Minefield Mapper

Predict and avoid overwhelming sensory environments

Scout any location before you go — predict crowd density, noise, lighting, temperature, and sensory intensity by time of day. Get a tailored game plan, layout intel, accommodation scripts, comfort kit, and live rescan if conditions shift once you're there.

Overview

Sensory Minefield Mapper helps you predict what a location will feel like before you arrive. Enter where you're going, when, and what you're sensitive to — and get a full breakdown of expected conditions, the best time to visit, quiet spots and exit routes, scripts for asking staff for accommodations, and a comfort kit checklist. Use the live rescan if reality doesn't match the prediction.

How to use it

  1. Save a concern profile — select your sensitivities once and load them every visit with one tap.
  2. Enter your destination, date, time, and place type.
  3. Review the prediction: intensity rating, factor-by-factor breakdown, and best time to go.
  4. Open Game Plan for before/during strategies and an exit plan if things get overwhelming.
  5. Use Live Rescan if you're already there and conditions are worse than predicted.
  6. Rate the visit afterward — your ratings improve future predictions for that location.

Example

Scenario: You need to pick up a prescription at a large pharmacy on a Saturday afternoon.

What you do: Enter the location, select Saturday 2pm, choose Pharmacy/Medical, flag noise and crowds.

Result: Prediction: HIGH intensity — weekend rush, pharmacy counter waits, intercom announcements. Best time: Tuesday 9am (LOW). Game plan includes: call ahead to confirm prescription is ready, use self-checkout, bring headphones. Quiet spot: far end of the greeting card aisle.
